Bennets Mustang Themed 5th Birthday Preview

Well, my Little Monster chose the Ford Mustang as the theme for his 5th birthday, and NO, I did not suggest or push him to in any way to choose that. It was a pretty proud papa moment for me tho.

That being said and all kool and what not. There is no Mustang section by the Spiderman stuff and Toy Story what nots at the ol party store.

So....wife and I are having to make everything. Fun and not fun. Either way, the party is the 16th of Feb. And its gonna be RAD!

I'll share all then pics from all the things we made to Mustangify this party. For now, I'll keep designing, printing, cutting and taping to get ready

The Stang is ALIVE!

Its up and running. After the car instantly dying while driving a couple months ago, its up and running. The car seemed to have to spark at all. Would turn over just fine but wouldn't fire at all. Put 3 generations of Kruse's on the job and it turned out to be the alternator. Put in a new one and we're off and running.

Bennet thought we should check the ignition module first
Got that bolt out so we can move on...

Time to pull the distributor and see if that does the trick

Chloe is here to help!
Pops is breakin it down for me. Explaining how the distributor gear sits in the engine.

So, I went to the neighbors house to borrow and timing light. Dad thought this would be a good time to take a pull of the jar of moonshine. Fuckin love that guy!

Done deal. Up and running. My lip wig and i are signing off.

Super Saucer Spin Sledding is GO

Bennet is officially addicted to sledding. It started slow, like most new things, but quickly progressed into me pushing him down the hill as hard as possible.

Then that turned into not only pushing him as hard as I could, but now spinning him as fast as possible.

The video...

SuperBuddy Snow Day

The progress on the Mustang is on hold for the winter but that doesn't mean that there isn't some fun goin down.

So, away from the Mustang and bring on the GoPro and the winter fun.

First on the agenda is a little winter fun I like to call SuperBuddy Snow Day. My good friend Ernie (my super buddy) and I both had the day off and wanted to hang out. With about 12" of snow on the ground, we decided to hit the woods on the quads and start a HUGE ASS fire.

ENJOY

Broke down.

November 10th on the way home from work the ol stanger just instantly died. No spitting, no sputters, just dead. Was only about 3 miles from home but shed have to spend the night alone that night.

The next morning was a cold 35° rainy and windy Sunday. So with my pal Ernie and a tow strap we went to get the Lil monster and bring her home. Tow strap worked well, standard amount of tense moments riding the brakes and trying to see through the foggy window and rain to make sure I didn't run info the 2011 F150 Platinum edition that was the tow rig.

We made it home safe and sound that Sunday morning the 11th. And she sat dead in the road until I got a home for it in the garage on the 18th of November.

So, next step. See if i have spark and if the distributor turns and go from there. G'nite.

OTC Yeah You Know Me. Got some new tools in!

Ordered in some new tools for the Lil Monster today. Needed a new jack badly and some new stands. So got those as well as a new engine stand for the future engine build that will come later. Got some random clip pliers, prybars, work lights and other sort of specialty tools that were making from my current arsenal. I gotta say that dollar for dollar, OTC/Stinger makes some super great tools. I've used a ton of aluminum racing jack and this is one of the better ones you can get. And the aluminum stands are amazing!

October 1st 2012, Picked up Project Lil Monster

10/1/12.
My good friend Michael Saathoff picked me up in his '94 Mustang GT Convertible to go pick up the 1995 Mustang GT Convertible that will now be known as Project Lil Monster.

We headed to my fathers house in Waterloo to pick up the car that I had only seen on Craigslist.

Heres a pic of of the car that was posted on Waterloo Craigslist...

Car showed very nice for $2000 Mustang. Door open and closed solid, paint is decent, underside looked clean and NO signs of rust.

Car is stock except for a BBK Off-Road X-Pipe and showed 125,000 miles upon pickup. Trunk had some ball joints in it as well as rear quarter powered speakers for the back seats out of a 96 Cobra.

So, ready to roll out and see if this car can make it the 2 hr. drive home. Fired it up and it sounded GREAT. The classic deep rumble of a good ol 5.0!

Grabbed a quick pick with the two Mustangs before heading out...
